India Women against Sri Lanka Women, 2nd T20, India won by 5 wickets, taking a 2-0 unassailable advantage in a match.

In India Women vs Sri Lanka Women, 2nd T20, Sri Lanka captain Chamari Athapaththu decided to bat first after winning the toss.

In the first innings, batting first with the captain's duo of Chamari Athapaththu and Vishmi Gunaratne made for a perfect beginning for the Lankans in taking the Indian bowlers to the cleaners.

The pair ( Chamari & Vishmi ) produced the best opening stand in Sri Lanka's history (87) in the T20s to leave the Indians looking for opportunities.

In the pacer position, Oshadi Ranasinghe and spinner Inoka Ranaweera are looking forward to successful performance for their respective bowling teams.

The opening pair of Shafali Verma (17 off 10 balls) and Vice-captain Smriti Mandhana (39 off 34 balls) must give the team a positive and exciting start.

The role of the middle line-up comprised of batters such as Harmanpreet Kaur, Jemimah Rodrigues, and Richa Ghosh is important. They'll have to continue the openers' momentum.

Smriti Mandana's experience was complemented by the joy of both Shefali Verma and Sabbhineni Meghana assisted India in getting to the 126-run mark in 19.1 overs.

Spin bowling was India's forte in the game as Deepti Sharma, Radha Yadav, and Shafali Verma took wickets. However, pacer Pooja Vastrakar was also able to take one wicket.

Sri Lanka will have to be very focused on their batting. Except for Kavisha Dilhari, who was 47*, none of the players seemed to be in the best performance.

It was a day to be remembered for Mandhana, the most efficient Indian woman to score 2000 T20 runs. Mandhana achieved the feat in her 84th innings.
