Science Term 2 Sample Paper 2022 (Unsolved)

Class 10 Science Term 2 Sample Paper 2022, (Science) exams are Students are taught thru NCERT books in some of the state board and CBSE Schools. As the chapter involves an end, there is an exercise provided to assist students to prepare for evaluation. Students need to clear up those exercises very well because the questions inside the very last asked from those.

Sometimes, students get stuck inside the exercises and are not able to clear up all of the questions. To assist students, solve all of the questions, and maintain their studies without a doubt, we have provided a step-by-step NCERT Sample Question Papers for the students for all classes. These answers will similarly help students in scoring better marks with the assist of properly illustrated Notes as a way to similarly assist the students and answer the questions right.

SECTION – C

This section has 02 case-based questions (14 and 15). Each case is followed by 03 sub-questions (A, B and C). Parts A and B are compulsory. However, an internal choice has been provided in part C.

14. The magnetic field tines of an infinite wire are circular and centered at the wire and they are identical in every plane perpendicular to the wire as shown in the figure.

Since the field decreases with distance from the wire, the spacing of the field lines must increase correspondingly with distance. The direction of this magnetic field may be found with a second form of the right-hand rule. If you hold the wire with your right hand so that your thumb points along the current, then your fingers wrap around the wire in the same sense as B.

(A) A vertical wire carries an electric current out of the page. What is the direction of the magnetic field at point P located to the west from the wire?       1

(B) A current carrying conductor is held in exactly vertical direction. In order to produce a clockwise magnetic field around the conductor, the current should be passed in the conductor. What will be the direction of the current?     1

(C) What are the characteristics of magnetic field lines?        1 ½

OR

A student plotted magnetic field around a straight current carrying wire and the distance from the wire where the magnetic field is a variation of measured.

15. Atoms of eight elements A, B, C, D, E, F, G and H have the same number of electron shells but different number of electrons in their outermost shells. It was found that elements A and G combine to form an ionic compound. This ionic compound is added in a small amount to almost all vegetables and dishes during cooking. Oxides of elements A and B are basic in nature while those of elements E and F are acidic. The oxide of element D is, however, almost neutral. Based on the above information, answer the following questions:
